Domain Auctions
Online auctions have started in the 90's. And since technology has
rapidly evolved, domain auctions have started to become a business as
well. But this type of venture has not been explored and has not yet
become prevalent in the IT community as of this writing. In Canada, this
is rarely used by the firms, companies and individuals. One main reason
for this could be rooted from the law of statistics. The probability of
two persons, firms or companies thinking of the same exact domain names
are very minimal. And for these circumstances that happen rarely, domain
auctions come into the picture.
| For
those companies who are adamant on the domain names they have
chose, but are taken, choose to resort to buying or bidding for
it. For those entities who currently own the domain name these
companies desire, online auctions are made. In most cases,
online auctions result to expensive bids and buys. But being a
bidder or shopper, it is advised that there be more resourceful
strategies on the tasks and issues at hand. As a fact online
auctions for domain names range from $10,000 to $50,000. |

This entails additional expense for the
bidder or buyer, be it corporate or individual. Given this fact, it's
either you bid or buy it or just resort to other domain names. In most
cases, Canadians resort to the latter. Truthfully, it is not always a
smart move for companies to resort to online domain auctions for the
reasons that they don't always get the domain name they want, and for
their customers' convenience.
